Robert A. Bernstein, Esq., has been practicing law for over 35 years and was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar in 1969 and thereafter to the Bar of the State of New York in 1983.

Mr. Bernstein focuses his practice in the areas of Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Elder Law, Special Needs Planning, Same-Sex Estate Planning, Business and Corporate Law and Commercial and Residential Real Estate Law.

Mr. Bernstein received his Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University in 1966 and was awarded his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Rutgers University School of Law in 1969.

Mr. Bernstein is a former Deputy Attorney General for the State of New Jersey where he represented the Division of Taxation.

He is a frequent lecturer and has given presentations before such diverse groups as the New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education where he lectured to attorneys with respect to drafting Estate documents and a group of investors at the offices of Smith Barney.

He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United Court for the District of New Jersey, and the New Jersey Supreme Court.

He was the former host and moderator of the Comcast Cable television program entitled “Thirty Legal Minutes”.

Mr. Bernstein is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and is a member of the New Jersey State bar Association.

He has acted as host and producer of a cable television program entitled “30 Legal Minutes” which was also broadcast on Comcast Network and Communities Cable. He is also a former legal columnist of a national magazine “Small Business Opportunities”.  His name is also cited in two landmark legal decisions which have been published in the New Jersey law books.
